International students from more than 20 countries have found a home at Ursuline. We welcome students who are passionate about learning and focused on changing our world.
As a liberal arts college in the Ursuline Catholic tradition, Ursuline College encourages students to pursue intellectual inquiry and take responsibility for society by accepting the obligation to act in response to unjust or oppressive social situations. Here you’ll upend assumptions, analyze complex situations, facilitate effective solutions, and lead in a world that is increasingly acknowledging the importance of women and women’s contributions.
Ursuline’s 30+ academic programs pave the way to professional readiness. At Ursuline, faculty mentorship, research and internship opportunities, and real-word experiences connect classroom learning to your future career and the world you're preparing to enter.
Ursuline College also offers qualified international athletes the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Division II level in 11 different sports: basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, STUNT, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Learn more here.
Recently enrolled international students come from more than nine countries, including Canada, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, Germany, Hong Kong, Kenya, Italy, and Romania.
Like the international students who came before you, you’ll find a safe and supportive campus at Ursuline just a short distance from a culturally thriving American city. This is an empowering, safe place to immerse yourself in a new culture.
You will need to purchase health insurance before coming to the United States. We at Ursuline recommend that you consider the options available through the company International Student Insurance (ISI). Start by reviewing this page for an overview of ISI options.
ISI’s Student Secure plan option is its most popular plan option for international students age 18 - 24. This plan comes in four different levels allowing you to choose a plan that best meets your needs. Unfortunately, dependents would not be eligible for this plan.
If you are an older student or looking for dependent coverage, ISI recommends its Patriot Exchange plan. This plan allows you to choose your deductible and policy maximum and offers coverage for eligible new injuries and illnesses along with mental health, and more.
For students needing temporary coverage for family visitors or dependent coverage that is separate from their own insurance plan, ISI recommends the Atlas plan. The Atlas Medical Insurance plan is ideal for dependents who are not covered by their spouse's or parent's plan, temporary visitors to the US, or anyone looking for an affordable medical insurance plan while they are traveling outside of their home country.
Many students find the videos on this page helpful, the most popular being this US Healthcare System Overview with subtitles available in eight different languages.
