Graduate nursing courses are presented in Ursuline's highly respected, value-based framework and emphasize the clinical components of advanced practice nursing. All students enrolled in the MSN degree program take the master's core courses to enhance clinical reasoning and utilize evidence-based practice. The master's of science in nursing and the post-graduate certificate programs at Ursuline College are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through 2025.
Ursuline College The Breen School of Nursing and Health Professions School of Nursing will be reviewed for re-accreditation from October 9 – 11, 2024 by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This will be an evaluation of its Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Post-Master’s APRN Certificate programs.
Interested parties may submit written comments concerning The Breen School of Nursing and Health Profession’s qualifications for accreditation. Written third-party comments regarding programs must be received by CCNE by no later than 21 days prior to the first day of the scheduled on-site evaluation, September 18, 2024.
Only signed comments are accepted by CCNE. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards. All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE's policy on Conduct of Business in English.

Students applying for admission in the master's in nursing program must meet both the general requirements for admission to all graduate programs and the specific requirements of the particular program of study. For the MSN program, admission requirements are as follows:
Applicants are urged to initiate formal application as far as possible in advance of the semester or term in which they plan to enroll. Graduate nursing courses begin in the fall and spring semesters. MSN applicants are encouraged to apply for fall semester by July 1 and for spring semester by December 1.
